Black Series

This series of paintings began in Oregon.  Those were the days (the ’90’s, not that long ago) before we owned a digital camera, when we fumbled around with slide film, hoping for decent images.  I was really bad at photographing my work, and could rarely afford to hire someone to do it for me.  So these images are small and don’t do justice to the paintings.  Still, they were some of my best work, inspired by the magnificent forests of western Oregon.  So I’m including some of them here.
